Over the past week, the P5, P6 and P7 class have taken part in a project on Trees, Recycling and Us to help us and our school become more resource efficient.
We started by thinking of the importance of trees to animals, humans and our community and enjoyed listening to and identifying bird species in our playground.
We then conducted our very own Waste Audit by collecting and sorting the rubbish from our classroom and working out the percentage of recyclable materials in both our recycling and landfill bin.
To finish we recycled our own paper using old newspapers. We loved this process which really brought the whole project to life and highlighted how we can each play our part in helping the environment and our local community.
Well done 5/6/7’s! You were brilliant!
