The children in Tobermore Primary School chose to take part in a Readon Initiative for World Book Day in order to raise funds for Cancer Fund for Children. They took on various extra reading challenges over a period of two weeks and today Rebecca Oates from the charity visited our school to receive the fantastic amount of money raised, £1606. Rebecca was in awe with the total amount and thanked the children and the community for their very generous donations. She then explained to the children how the money would be spent and how many children and their families will benefit from these much needed funds. Huge thanks to all who contributed to this very worthy cause!
