Today P1 & P2 enjoyed another wonderful day together with our friends from St Columba’s. We began with a calming Take 10 session led by Alison, where the children practised deep breathing and explored fun animal‑inspired movements. We were so impressed by their flexibility — there were plenty of giggles, stretches and happy sighs as everyone relaxed into the activities.
The session finished with story time massage, something the boys and girls really embraced and enjoyed.
Afterwards, the children learned about the famous artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates beautiful works of art using natural materials. Inspired by his creativity, the children headed outdoors to collect leaves, stones, sticks and other treasures. Working in pairs, they created their very own nature artwork — each one unique and full of imagination.
It was so lovely spending time with our friends from Straw. We were sad to see them go, but as one little girl wisely reminded us… we’ll meet again 😉🤩
