This month’s school value is ‘respect’. The children have been learning about the meaning of the word respect and earning points for their house teams if they get caught showing respect to others. Miss Henderson delivered an assembly all about respect and gave lots of different scenarios to help convey the meaning of the word ‘respect’. The children learnt about Zacchaeus and how he changed his ways when he realised he wasn’t being respectful to the people around him. Miss Henderson used the game ‘jenga’ to demonstrate how we can all live out this Christian value each day and explained what happens if we fail to be respectful to each other. Bit by bit the tower would begin to crumble and eventually fall to the ground. Let’s all encourage each other to be respectful and keep our tower tall and strong as we work together. 😉👍
