On Tuesday, Primary 5 joined Mr Henry's class St. Columba's, Straw for a great day out to Parkanaur Forest Park which focused on cultural awareness.
The day began with fun team building games before we had our snack. This followed a 60 minute orienteering challenge where the children where put into teams to locate various cultural symbols, flags and emblems hidden throughout the forest. Some even went for a paddle in the river! After lunch we had an educational session led by Stephen, who explored the similarities and differences between local cultures. We all gained an understanding of the diverse meanings behind different flags and symbols within our community.
Everyone really enjoyed a fun day out together.
