Today the P6/P7 class started their very own Engineering Project at Tobermore Primary School!
Over the next few months, our four teams; Clever Connections, Tobermore Engineering, Fantastic Mechanics and Fabulous Five will be planning, designing and building a prototype to help improve our school community.
Today was ‘brainstorming day’ when we investigated our school grounds to suggest improvements that could be made with the help of simple engineering. Each team then chose their favourite 3 ideas and made notes, ready for the planning stage.
Towards the end of our project, Engineering Ireland will visit our school to discuss the team’s ideas and enter them into a nationwide STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) competition! 🏆
We are looking forward to seeing what our young engineers come up with!
