P3&4 recently visited St Columbia’s Straw for our second and third Shared Ed days. They kindly welcomed us both times, and we had a great time making friends and learning together.
On our second visit, we took part in a fun art session with Sinead McDermott, who guided the children step-by-step to create their own artwork. These were combined into a beautiful class piece. The children also enjoyed painting bright, colourful tulips on canvas to take home.
During our third visit, the children had the opportunity to make their own teddy bears, adding soft stuffing and a little heart inside. These lovely keepsakes were a special reminder of the day and something they could take home and treasure. They also enjoyed a lively music session with games and instruments.
We have had two brilliant days at St Columba’s and are looking forward to welcoming the, to our school again next week.
