P3&4 have been enjoying their Rainforest topic over the past few weeks. We have been learning about foods that come from the rainforest, including cocoa. We finished by enjoying some hot chocolate. 🍫
We a,so learning about Fairtrade and the work of the Rainforest Alliance, discussing what the labels mean and why they are important to farmers and the environment.
We also took a trip to the SPAR to see how many Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance products we could find. The children did a fantastic job spotting the different logos.
