Mental Health Awareness Week❤️

19th May 2026

During Mental Health Awareness Week, each class took part in a range of activities organised by the student council, including relaxation exercises, trips to the park, mindfulness sessions and creative art tasks. These activities gave pupils time to reflect, express their feelings and learn simple ways to look after their wellbeing.😊

The week ended with a special assembly led by Mrs Speers. Using powerful images, she reminded us that everyone experiences worry and that it is okay to feel this way. She also encouraged us not to keep problems to ourselves, but to share, talk and support one another.

The assembly focused on the words in Matthew 6:25–27, “Do not worry,” and 1 Peter 5:7 to “Give all your worries and cares to God, because He cares for you.” We were reminded that we are always cared for and never have to face our worries alone.❤️
