Mrs Hawthorne and some of the P5 children delivered an assembly today on internet safety. We collated some data about how our pupils are making use of internet at home before highlighting important information for the them to remember when using online activity. We presented the story of Smartie the Penguin to help highlight dangerous issues our children are faced with online. Mrs Hawthorne's helpers were rewarded a tube of smarties for their help.
It is extremely important for our pupils and their parents to learn about keeping safe online because the internet is ever evolving and the way children and young adults use devices change rapidly and is massively different from the way we as adults experienced them.
