Year 6 and Year 7 celebrated International Day of Education on Wednesday 24th January. This focused on Article 28 which states, 'Children and young people have the right to education no matter who they are: regardless of race, gender or disability.'
The children watched a ppt on this event and then had some interesting discussions about education in their own countries and other countries in the world. This provided lots of interesting opinions and created lots of discussion around the importance of our schools, teachers and the role education plays in our lives.
The children then completed a task based on what makes a 'good learner' and a 'good teacher.'
It turns out that being a Man Utd fan does not make you a good teacher.
