Farewell to Mrs Kelly
Today was a very special but very sad day in our school community as we said a final farewell to Mrs Kelly as she begins her well‑deserved retirement. After 18 years of loyal and dedicated service as Building Supervisor, Cook, and Lunch Supervisor, Mrs Kelly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and endless care for both children and staff.
Throughout her time at Tobermore Primary School, Mrs Kelly created countless wonderful memories. She treated every child with great warmth, always ensuring they had the very best dinners — just the way they liked them! Nothing was ever too much trouble for her.
She was equally loved by the staff, often rallying around looking for lost or misplaced items, or rescuing us from tricky situations — especially those involving permanent marker on a whiteboard! Her willingness to help, her sense of humour, and her generosity made every day brighter.
Mrs Kelly also loved supporting the children outdoors, whether planting new flowers in the garden or painting the fence. She was always on hand at PTA, Eco Committee, and Pupil Council events, offering invaluable support with her trademark smile.
We will miss her deeply, but we are so grateful for everything she has contributed to our school over nearly two decades.
We wish Mrs Kelly every happiness in her retirement and hope she enjoys plenty of time to relax, put her feet up, and cherish precious family moments.
Mrs Kelly — please come back and visit us anytime!
