What an absolute pleasure it was for our Eco Committee—so expertly led by Mrs Hawthorne—to be nominated as finalists in the Mid Ulster District Council Environmental Education and Engagement Award!
At the ceremony, it was highlighted just how fierce and competitive the category was, and that every group reaching the finalist stage should feel exceptionally proud of their achievement. We could not agree more.
This nomination gave us a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to Mrs Hawthorne and our dedicated Eco Committee for the incredible work they do—not only within our school, but throughout our local community—to promote environmental education and inspire greener, more sustainable practices.
It was a real honour and privilege to see their efforts recognised and to watch them enjoy their well‑deserved moment in lights. 🌟
Although we were not the overall winners, we are immensely proud of them for reaching the finalist stage.
