The Eco Committee would like to thank everyone who sent in bags of unwanted clothes for our Cash for Clobber collection. We had an amazing number of bags, that many that we were running out of storage space!
The collection lorry arrived this afternoon and they were extremely grateful for the committee members who worked very hard as a team to carry all the bags out to the gate for them. They said they were speedy workers!
By reusing and recycling unwanted clothes, shoes and household textiles ensures we are helping to reduce the amount of material going to landfill. Some of these clothes are also sent out to those in need in developing countries, therefore this is such a worthwhile cause and in return we receive money for our school.
Today we collected 600kgs which is our highest amount we have had. We are very grateful to all the staff, parents and community members who helped make this possible.
