Today marked the beginning of anti-bullying week. The children in P1 and P2 talked about the theme for this year which is ‘Choose Respect’ and what this means. They watched a short clip where some children shared their understanding of the words ‘choose respect’. They enjoyed listening to the story ‘How to be a lion’ and how we need to have respect for each other, allowing each us to be who we are. Then the children drew their self portraits reminding us all that even though we are different we are all special. The children discussed articles from the convention of the rights of the child and how their rights enable them to be protected from discrimination.
